Hi, I’m Katreena, and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m a multifaceted girl with a love for living a joyful life while balancing all of life’s demands. My passion for personal finance runs deep, and I believe money should not only support your needs but also help you THRIVE in the ways that are meaningful to you.
In 2023, I celebrated a major milestone: reaching six figures invested. Then, in 2024, my near six-figure student loan debt was forgiven after a decade of dedication to public service. Oh, and did I mention I’m rocking an 800+ credit score? * snap snap * For some, all this might seem like an everyday occurence, but based on where I’m from and what I learned growing up, these are achievements that I don’t take lightly and I feel its my responsibilty to share how I’ve gotten this far.
So let me take you back a bit. Like many others, I didn’t grow up learning a lot about money. Finances, investing, assets etc. felt like a mystery and something reserved for the rich and wealthy. I realized through books, podcasts, conversations that all that was also for me and people like me but I would have to work hard to get my financial footing.
In 2014, after landing my first “big girl job,” I created my very first budget. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start—and I’ve been budgeting ever since. Over time, I not only learned how to manage my money, but I also grew and invested my income in ways that allow me to live a life filled with meaning and intention. Budgeting taught me that being intentional with your money doesn’t mean you’re lacking anything; in fact, it reveals what’s truly possible when you’re in control of your finances.
Now, my mission is to help others create peace with their money, discover a financial system that empowers them, and ensure they’re on track to retire—and retire well. Whether it’s planning for a dream home, preparing for a baby, or simply finding confidence in everyday financial decisions, I’m here to share what I’ve learned and support you on your journey.
Through this space, I aim to share approachable personal finance advice, capture the everyday moments I cherish, and build a community rooted in authenticity, growth, and genuine connection. I also have an audacious goal of becoming an everyday millionaire, and I’m excited to bring you along for the ride.
