I’m always on the hunt for delicious, healthy, and hearty breakfast ideas. As a bonafide foodie and breakfast lover, I really can’t imagine skipping breakfast like that. I’ve longed loved overnight oats and used to make them a lot back in grad school but I stopped making them for some reason. Well, I discovered that they sell overnight oats in the grocery store and this has moved them back up on my list of favorites. Here’s how I make my favorite bowl of overnight oats for a filling morning breakfast.
Ingredients:
- Overnight oats – I am currently loving the blueberry-flavored oats by the brand Mush but I’ve also made them on my own. Here’s a good recipe.
- Fruit – I love fresh or frozen blueberries and fresh strawberries. I recently tried fresh mango and that was delicious too!
- Sliced almonds
- Coconut flakes
- Honey
- Optional: Flax seeds, hemp seeds, brown sugar
Directions:
- Place overnight oats in a bowl.
- Top with a little brown sugar (maybe 1 tablespoon).
- Place blueberries and strawberries on top.
- Add coconut, sliced almonds, flax seeds and hemp seeds.
- Drizzle with a little honey.
- Give thanks and devour.
I love how simple this breakfast comes together. It’s truly one of my favorites to eat throughout the week.
